Comment on IGP Ibrahim Idris versus senators by Peter Okeke

Nigerians are now wondering whether IGP’s inability to honour the Senate’s invitation was as a result of manifest script reading deficiencies. One wonders why a ‘hard working’ IGP should shy away from meeting with the Senate. If anything his meeting with them will give Nigerians some positive insights into his tireless efforts at ridding Nigerians of criminal elements in the guise of fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram and other troubled spots other than Dino Melaye saga. He failed to show case himself and prove his traduccers wrong. His behaviour was like that of a softie hiding behind his mama’s apron. His recent ‘transmission gig’ also portrayed him as a man afraid of messing himself up in elocution before the Senate. Besides the Senate’s invitations were subjects of public assessment by rational Nigerians who would have appreciated the relevance or otherwise of the questions and answers public sessions of the Senate with the IGP.
